Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp Tour

The former Concentration Camp Sachsenhausen is located just outside Berlin in the little town of Oraninenburg.

Over 200.000 prisoners were held in the camp between 1936 and 1945, tens of thousands who perished inside. KZ Sachsenhausen was the Nazi´s model camp with the administrative headquarters of the entire concentration camp system – the Main Inspectorate.

After WWII the camp was used by the Soviets as a prison for political enemies and later on handed over to the East Germany.
