BERLIN AND THE WALL

13th August 1961, 01:00 a.m.: Suddenly Berlin is divided by barbed wire and thousands of East German soldiers. Tens of thousands of families, relationships and friends are cut off by a wall in the middle of a big city. How could that happen? What was going on in the run-up to the division of Berlin?
